Teen Library Council Application Deadline

Do you want to be involved in Teen Library Council? Have you been involved in the past and want to continue? Well as you may have heard, you need to fill out one of our new Teen Library Council applications, and the deadline is this Friday the 26th!

The mission of the Tigard Public Library’s Teen Library Council is to assist the library in creating events and developing resources that fulfill the needs and interests of teens and to promote the library to teens and the Tigard community. Being a member of the Teen Library Council (TLC) provides you with a chance to be a representative of the library while exercising your creativity, developing leadership skills and having a positive, lasting impact on library collections, services and programming.

To be a TLC member, you must be in grade 6-12 and able to commit to meeting regularly (the first Tuesday of every month from 5:00-6:30), attending special events that the TLC plans and occasionally working on projects outside of the regular meeting time.

So, come by the library and pick up an application if you haven’t already. And remember, if you can’t make the time commitment now, TLC members will be planning occasional work sessions and social hours in which non-members can participate.
