New (and Random) Non Fiction

I love non-fiction, that collection of the strangeness that is real life. My top picks in the latest batch of new books that the Tigard Library has received follow.

Bike, Scooter, and Chopper Projects for the Evil Genius by Brad Graham and Kathy McGowan (Y NEW 629.2272 GRA). Inexpensive parts, simple tools, and designs to create some pretty wicked (sorry!) vehicles. Step-by-step instructions, plenty of pictures, and 14 different projects make this book an easy way to unleash your evil genius.

Oval Office Oddities by Bill Fawcett (Y NEW 973.09 FAW). Which presidents died in debt? What pets did each have? Lincoln was "Honest Abe," but who was "Old Hickory of the Granite Hills?" Find these answers and plenty more presidential tidbits just in time for the big election in November.

Manga for the Beginner by Christopher Hart (Y NEW 741.51 HAR). This is the essential book, written by the best-selling author of drawing and cartooning books. Get tips for drawing hairstyles, movement, animals and more.
